OnlyZits Content Policy
Last updated: March 2026. OnlyZits is dedicated exclusively to dermatology and skincare content. This policy explains what's allowed, what's not, and how we enforce it.
Allowed What belongs on OnlyZits
- ✓ Blackhead and whitehead extractions
- ✓ Cyst removal and drainage (professional or DIY)
- ✓ Pimple popping videos (face, back, ear, body)
- ✓ Dermatologist procedures and skin treatments
- ✓ Esthetician facials and pore extractions
- ✓ Before/after skin transformation content
- ✓ Ingrown hair removal
- ✓ Satisfying skincare routines with extraction elements
Prohibited Content that will be removed
Tier 1 — Off-Topic
Auto-quarantine after 5 reports
- Non-dermatological content — Videos unrelated to skin or skincare. OnlyZits is derm-only.
- Wrong category — Mis-categorised uploads (e.g., a cystic video filed under Petite).
- Spam or scams — Promotional content, clickbait, or scam links.
Tier 2 — Disturbing or Unsafe
Auto-quarantine after 3 reports
- Excessive medical gore — Deep surgical procedures with extreme blood/tissue beyond normal extractions. Cyst drainage with normal bleeding is fine; open-wound surgery is not.
- Animal procedures — No dermatology procedures on animals, regardless of context.
- Self-harm or unsafe practices — Videos that encourage dangerous self-extraction without sterile tools or technique.
Tier 3 — Legal / Safety (Zero Tolerance)
Auto-quarantine after 2 reports — fast-tracked review
- Copyright / DMCA — Do not upload content you don't own or have permission to share.
- Content involving minors — No videos where the extraction subject appears to be under 18.
- Sexual / adult content — No sexual content of any kind, including content disguised as dermatology.
- Doxxing / private information — No revealing of personal information without consent.
Enforcement How we handle violations
Community Reporting
Any viewer can flag a video using the Report button. Reports are anonymous and cannot be traced back to the reporter.
Auto-Quarantine
Videos are automatically hidden from the site when they accumulate enough reports. Serious violations (legal, safety) are quarantined faster than off-topic reports. Quarantined videos are queued for human review.
Human Review
Every quarantined video is reviewed by a moderator. Videos that don't violate policy are restored immediately.
Strike System
Uploaders receive a strike when their video is removed for a policy violation.
- 1-2 strikes: Warning. Video removed, account remains active.
- 3 strikes: Account suspended. Cannot upload until suspension is lifted.
- 5 strikes: Permanent ban. Account cannot be recovered.
Appeals
If you believe your video was incorrectly removed, email moderation@onlyzits.com with your video ID. Appeals are reviewed within 48 hours.
Category Isolation
Categories like "BBZ" and "Cystic" are isolated to their own pages and feeds.
Category content never appears on non-video pages like
About Us, Contact, or the Content Policy page. All category routing is handled by
/api/categories/:slug/videos
with a strict status = 'ready'
filter — flagged, pending, or deleted videos are never returned.
